We're obviously biased, but other people also think our NFT Generator is pretty cool. However, we will try our best to remain impartial as each of these options are suited for different type of people, and we will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.

For people looking for a summary, this comparison table below might be the best place to start:

NFT Art Generator

Ambition

The NFT Generator

Supports images

Supports videos

Has an advanced mode

Unlimited collections

Smart Contract Minting

The 3 best NFT collection generator tools

Option # 1: NFT Art Generator

This is the number 1 option on our list because as far as we know this is the first tool that showed up on the market and they have done a marvelous job of creating a feature-rich service.

In case you’re wondering we are not affiliated to NFT Art Generator, we are not paid by them and they don’t even know we are saying nice things about them. We just recognize good when we see it and pay each person its due.

NFT Art Generator has a tool which is rich in features and had lots of options on their advanced mode. They accept images but also video formats such as .gif and .mp4.

Using their advanced mode you can create collections with specific requirements such as creating ones of ones, having certain traits appear only conditional on the appearance of a previous trait, or blocking certain traits from appearing conditional again on the previous existence of a trait on that particular NFT.

Their dashboard has a full section where you can see all the previous collections created by you and makes it easy to launch a smart contract from one of those.

Recently, they released a team collaboration feature which we assume must be very beneficial for agencies that focus on creating NFT collections or for a large project that is composed of several people collaborating together as well.

They charge 5% for primary sales and the user only needs to pay the gas fees of deploying the smart contract. You also get an emendable button to sell your collection on your own website, or if you have no website they offer an easy to use tool to create a website for the launch of your NFT collection so your community can mint right there and then.

They promote themselves as the service with all the tools a creator needs to launch their NFT collection from start to finish - and to be honest, we do agree.

Option # 2: Ambition

Ambition is one of the first services on the market and they differentiate themselves by an easy to use interface which is more design oriented than that one of the NFT Art Generator. It has a look and feel that is more modern and aesthetically pleasing.

Just as NFT Art Generator they also offer the smart contract minting services after you create your collection with them and they also charge 5% of the primary sales of the collection.

However, their main differentiator is their pricing model. They charge a flat 10 cents per NFT. This means that if you create a 100 NFT collection it will only cost you $10 USD to generate.

However, if you are trying to make a 10,000 NFT collection it will come at the hefty price of $1,000 USD for the collection. To put that price tag in contrast NFT Art Generator charges $529 USD for a 10,000 NFT collection.

Thus, unlike NFT Art Generator that has a tiered pricing where by the bigger the collection size the lower the cost per NFT, Ambition takes the route of having a fixed price per NFT.

This means that for smaller collections it might be more favorable to use a service such as Ambition, however, for larger collections NFT Art Generator offers a better price.

Another difference is that Ambition does not have an advanced mode integrated into their service that allows to make one of ones, nor does it allow to create collections that require of a path-dependent mixing of traits.

Option # 3: The NFT Generator

Lastly, we come to our NFT generator. As we mentioned we might be biased but other people find our no-code NFT generator pretty easy to use. However, to try be impartial. let's start by the disadvantage. The disadvantages are mainly two.

The first disadvantage is that we only support the creation of image-based NFTs unlike Ambition and NFT Art Generator which do support video format.

The second main disadvantage is that we do not have a smart contract minting feature integrated into our process. This means that the user will need to deploy their smart contract using another service such as Ambition, NFT Art Generator, or any other that does offer this feature.

The second disadvantage we do not see as a serious one as all of these tools allow for you to drag and drop a folder with files, upload the metadata and they will deploy the smart contract for you. This means you do not need to create the collection on their platform to be allowed to use their smart contract feature.

However, despite these two disadvantages we do have two main advantage to the previous two options, and that i:

  • You can make unlimited collections with any of our plans.
  • We have a better price than other options.

The good thing about these two attributes is that you will not pay per collection but for the period that you wish the tool. In that period you can make as many collections as you want, and also, our monthly plan is very price competitive when compared to the other tools out there.

So to sum up the previous paragraph, our price is better than making a single collection with other options - and with us you can make unlimited collections. You don’t have to pay every time.

The other reason why this is so good is that you don’t have to be afraid to make mistakes.

What does this mean?

If you make a mistake on a collection with a tool that charges you per collection, or if you change your mind about the rarities, or about any other thing on your collection, regardless of how small, you will have to pay again - not with us.

This gives a certain type of freedom and removes the stress out of the creative process because we are humans and we make mistakes, we change our minds, so it is important to have a tool that allows you to do that.

That was the main proposition to start The NFT Generator and will continue to be for the future.

We hope that was illustrative to give you an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of each tool.
